At América Soccer Academy, we believe soccer goes far beyond the game — it’s a powerful tool for the physical, emotional, and social development of children. Founded with the mission of shaping not only athletes but also responsible individuals, our goal is to provide a high-quality training environment grounded in discipline, respect, and personal growth.
Based in South River, New Jersey, we work with children ages 4 to 14, offering age-appropriate classes tailored to each child’s skill level. What sets us apart is our personalized attention to each student’s development — including children with autism — through a caring, inclusive, and supportive approach.
Who Am I?
Hi, my name is Marcelo Neiva, and I’m the founder of América Soccer Academy.
I’m a former professional soccer player whose journey began in the youth divisions of Náutico (PE), Uberlândia (MG), and Guarani de Campinas, where I turned pro at the age of 17. After nearly five years with Guarani, my career took me overseas, where I had memorable experiences playing in Vietnam and China.
After retiring as a player, I followed my passion for the game and became a coach, working in places like Lima, Peru, and throughout the United States. These international experiences helped me create a unique coaching methodology that blends discipline, technical development, and empathy for each individual student.
My mission is clear: to change lives through soccer.
